equivalent of the following command to do so:

afterwards) were solved by gstreamer-plugins-base 0.10.25.1-1.fc12 (Nov.
11 build) and exaile 0.3.0.1-1.fc11. Both packages are upstream for
Fedora 11, currently, so they just need to make it down to the stable
branches.

There is a fedora package of a master build of gstreamer, gstreamer-
plugins-base from November 11 called 0.10.25.1-1.fc12.
I'm running exaile with these packages and the track changing problem is
gone. Unfortunately, something is segfaulting (from strace) at random

I confirm this :
All my games using SDL cause 100% CPU (AthlonX2 3800+) instantly, this is very
frustrating and could damage hardware.
I tried lots of games from very simple to more complex : defcon, falconseye,
nwn, enemy territory...
My graphic card is Geforce FX5200
I'm running kubuntu feist
Same problem here but I discovered that ALL games using sdl shoot my CPU
to 100% (AthlonX2 3800+)

This is still present for me on Feisty, like Stephen said

I upgraded to Kunbuntu Edgy to Feisty and now some wmv playback is crippled too
(wmv8 / 9 ?). But the backend is not gstreamer, it's Xine in my case
(Kaffeine/Codeine). Files play fine in Mplayer though.
I'm set up with the medibuntu repos.
Could w32codecs be faulty ?

I've been able to work around this problem by adding /usr/share/python-
support/python-urlgrabber to my PYTHONPATH before running anything in
python, though presumably there's a better fix to be had.

Ok here's my experience then :
I had regular update-notifications using Dapper beta. Now since Dapper LTS, it
seems the update-notification does'nt work anymore.
I still hear the typical HDD activity that precedes updates check every day,
but then the icon never shows up.
If I manually launch
I have the same problem after upgrade from dapper beta to dapper release : The
update notifier doesn't show up anymore. The update notifier daemon is running
and I can still hear the hard disk activity that usually precedes the
update-notifier pop-up, but it doen't show.
