This is not just a problem with the Thinkpad T400. I just had the same
issue with my workstation machine, which is based on a ASUS P5Q-EM LGA
775 Intel G45 motherboard, using two SATA hard drives and an IDE DVD-RW.
However on this machine I could not find a workaround changing BIOS

If I understand correctly your problem, I think you can use the
ssh_config setting 'PreferredAuthentications while using ssh (ssh -o
PreferredAuthentications password) to have it prefer the password over
the key when you don't want it to use the key. Another option is to
disable the ssh-agent bg pr

#287453. I was resuming from suspend on Xubuntu 8.10 (fully patched)
64-bit, and it just hung, wouldn't respond to anything (no numlock

I am running Ubuntu 8.04 with sudo version 1.6.9p10 and thinkfinger-
tools 0.3+r118-0ubuntu3. When I try to use sudo with the -S flag and
pipe it a password, I get the following error:
~$ echo foo | sudo -S whoami

If it hasn't been fixed, it is still an issue.
Since reporting I have upgraded to the next Ubuntu release, and I will
retest there and confirm.

Here is my pidgin profile, though regardless of what application
violates it's profile, none of the messages get logged properly. I used
genprof to make the profile, and I get a violation every time I try to
save or send files (which violates my profile)

Well, I've tried a number of the podcasts in .ogg format, and none of them do
anything out of the ordinary. However, I'm running feisty, so perhaps it's an

I had given up on this and used the radeon driver for a while, but I
recently re-enabled the binary driver in an attempt to get accelerated
