I just update my Ubuntu and this bug seems to be fixed. Please anyone

I had the same problem but with a different approach:
* I right click on my Public folder (which is located on my ~) and choose
Share..
* I checked the "Share this folder" checkbox
* Add some comments
* Check the "Guest access" checkbox
* Click on "Create Share" button
