Another note, normally running glxgears will cause an almost immediate
lockup. I disabled Desktop Effects, and have been running glxgears for
about 5 minutes now without a problem. So this might not be a nvidia
bug but one in compiz. Just a thought that might help.

I would like to also confirm that this is happening on my system too. I
did a clean install of 7.04, updated everything, and utilizing the
Nvidia drivers it will lock up to the point where I need to reboot.

I also was experiencing this problem. I've been up for 2 weeks now with
no white screens. I am using a similar board as Toadmund and have the
ATI radeon Xpress 200m onboard video. I'm running Feisty AMD64.
Shutting off the Cool 'n Quiet in the BIOS has kept it from happening.
