Drag-and-drop to desktop not possible without copying
This just started happening to me on 17.10. The behavior changes with
the circumstances. I've done several tests and see the following
reproducible behavior:
scenario 1 (moves as expected)
-drag and drop file from Desktop to Desktop/tmp (no nautilus window open) -
File is moved as expected

I can confirm this. It also doesn't accept the -h option and other ones
as well. ncal -h works but cal -h errors. Cal seems pretty broken,
lots of open bugs on this for many years but no fixes seem to be coming.

Maybe I'm missing something but doesn't the file I posted have the exact
contents you just said it should? I would also point out that the fix
for me was to do this:
cd /usr/lib/postfix
ln -s postfix-pgsql.so.1.0.1 dict_pgsql.so
That was needed because there was no /usr/lib/postfix/dict_pgsql.so

I have this problem as well on my 14.04.2 Dom0 cloud1. The VG that
holds all VMs does not come up active on boot so no VMs set to autostart
are started. I have another 14.04.2 which is on matching hardware and
configured very similar to cloud1. It reboots and starts up the VMs

Debian Wheezy dom0s with the pygrub available in those repositories.
Hopefully 12.04 and wheezy both get pygrub updates to support 14.04
domUs.

How is this not a high priority issue? Deletion of a working config
file should be a high priority, period, shouldn't it? I had a working

I am experiencing the same problem on the AMD64 kernel. It seems udev
is continuously discovering my CD/DVD drive. Stopping udev solves the
problem but this is undesirable as a long term solution.

sudo /etc/init.d/udev restart
Restarting the mixer applet does not fix the high CPU for me. It
appears to be a bug in the way removing the USB sound is handled lower

being set to "default" in:
