The end of compiz-decorator looks like this:

sniffing should be used first and the suffix second. The file's type is
truly what it contains. If it contains an mp3 file, then it is an mp3
file - simple - it doesn't magically become a gif because it is renamed
to .gif - but it does become a gif if its contents are overwritten with
the contents

I've had a guess at the package that is the source of this bug. it seems
to be present in gtk widgets at least. Seen in Ubuntu Hardy.
This problem can be reproduced with the standard ubuntu serif font.

Just to clarify my previous comment, I don't think this is a bug and
should be marked invalid as altering the current behaviour to match
typical temporary file use would be a grave erro,r possibly opening
systems up toexploitation.

Regarding Sebastien's suggestion of adding an "open anyway" button. If
you put in such a button most users will just press it without regard to
the monologue text. So there would be no point having the monologue at
all - it would just be annoying.

set up mtools to define a drive letter for your usb memory stick by
adding the following line to /etc/mtools.conf:
drive u: file="/dev/sdb1"
ensure your usb memory stick is not mounted but that its partitions are
shown.
$ sudo umount /media/
set a vfat label:
$ sudo drive u: file="/dev
