This bug can be closed, one could argue that the kernel could handle
this a bit prettier as the -1 options is setting the firmware loading to
auto so a fallback to not loading the firmware would be ok.

Found out it's unrelated to Wayland or GDM, I was using the
"i915.enable_guc=-1" to load the Intel power management firmware, this
causes the DRM initialization to fail if the needed version is missing
and the firmware was updated in 5.3.

The issue is because firefox does a rename from the /tmp folder to the
encrypted home folder, right now fscrypt returns EPERM instead of EXDEV
that would be normal when the operation can not complete because of
crossing a mount point or in this case unencrypted to an encrypted
folder.

Tried stopping gdm after the crash got this in dmesg and a crash file.

I applied the fix, though it was line 20 not 23 that had to be commented
out for "problem_types" to be removed.

kernel(4.13.0-38-generic) seems to be working except for some short

I did a home made upgrade to seabios 1.7.0 with no patches and vgabios
0.7a with the build of the special qlx and vga versions in the ubuntu
patch, and I still have the issue, the only mode that works for me

The guest machines in testing with is running windows so I don't have
that problem, but it seems it the seabios that has a problem.

By default gnutls tries with TLS 1.1, but most servers only support TLS
1.0, most will handle fall-back to this version gracefully, but a lot
won't.
Also TLS 1.0 is still the default for almost all browsers even if TLS

Adding the above PPA Network Manager also does not fix my problem of
changing from DHCP to Static ip for Eth1. Also nm-applet is not starting
on login. This is on a clean install of the RC desktop ISO.

Now I finally got it working, the libpt package has been cleaned and all
the packages has been rebuild. It should now be possible to both have
ubuntu-desktop and ekiga 3.0.1 at the same time.
