I'm still using Ubuntu 7.10 and 2.6.20-15-generic, because that was the
last working configuraiton for LiVES and Totem, which I use heavily.
I've been waiting to have someone tell me how to get them any info they
need to debug this.

After updates to Ubunto 7.10 which included an update from
vmlinuz-2.6.20-15-generic to vmlinuz-2.6.20-16-generic, on rebooting as
requested,
1 - Totem (2.18.1) opens, but shows only a blank screen and will not
play videos or music it played before the update. I see the
I thought I had borked the installation, but it's a known bug.
It's annoying to find that a useful tool has been knowingly crippled for
a year an a half because of a Debian bug. Especially when you are also
distributing EDUBUNTU ... grammar checkers are one way to help people
learn how to write.
