partman will scan all the available partitions.
However, with the eMMC device, especially with its /dev/mmcblk0rpmb partition,
a popup warning will show up to interrupt the whole installation process.

I also have this long boot time issue with an eMMC device on my trusty machine
(3.13.0-45 kernel).
Simply upgrading to the new systemd packages didn't help at all,
but w/ the patch mentioned in comment #26, it is working now.

Tested this x-x-v-intel 2:2.99.910-0ubuntu1.6 in my problematic Braswelll,
and it does fix the promotion video playback issue.
Also tested with other functions like rotation and external monitor,
they all work well.
