I've installed the 3.18 kernel (on Ubuntu-Gnome 14.10) and indeed the
problem went away, for the most part...
The touchpad was unresponsive once after resume (it was yesterday, yet
to be seen if I can reproduce this).

I realize this bug is marked as fixed/released, but it doesn't look like
it from where I'm standing (natty 32bit, classic-gnome WM).
Pasting images from clipboard managers history still fails.
I tried the following managers:

Pasting formatted text, tables and links (to images) from the clipboard

I have natty 32bit, classic-gnome WM with glipper 2.1-0ubuntu1

I've opened a new issue with the described problem here:

Yeah the images thing is tricky, but maybe links to images are not
(isn't that all html after all?), well we can discuss it on the new bug

Using Parcellite on Lucid, I just copied text+images from Firefox from two
different places.
Next I select one of those from Parcellite history and paste into OpenOffice
Word.
The copied text appears but the images are missing from the pasted section. Is
that intentional?
I mean, is Parcellite
Looks like there's a performance penalty for having the transparency
always on. Switching between different tabs is not fast as it used to be
on Karmic. It really holds back fast terminal switching, one of the main
things I liked in Ubuntu. This issue might need a higher priority

Confirmed fixed on Lucid.
It is possible to set default directory using the command:
zenity --file-selection --directory --filename=$HOME/
Hitting OK on the open dialog will print $HOME (w/o the last slash) to stdout
Note that it does not work if the last slash is omitted nevertheless this

I confirm that Skype 2.1 Beta solved the high CPU problem on my system (when
pulse is used). It also solves a problem with the mic: I can now, over
pulseaudio hear my own voice echoed (well!) during test call
It took time but it's finally working well for me. Thank you, Skype!

What's interesting is that when I boot WinXP (shhh... I know) I can
setup the dual-monitor side-by-side quite nicely. It looks like 945 hw
supports this virtual-desktop size. Well, at least in 2D hw-accelerated
mode...
Also, looks like I found a bug (not sure if a bug-report already exists):
