I can confirm the bug on a dual Opteron machine. A bug like this is described here: http://lkml.org/lkml/2006/6/8/254 It happened after Dapper-Edgy upgrade. Now it is used with Dapper kernel. I vote for Critical importance, because this bug renders systems with Promise SATAII150 unusable. --
