well I havent used it lately as my battery in that machine is going but will
see. I havent updated past 8.10 yet because I havent found confirmation that
the ATI graphics card will work properly yet either.

If you are using a notebook/laptop computer,try turning off the touch
pad. That might help. If that is not the issue then I am not sure.
However if it is moving it up or whatever, causing you to type where you
have already it is not the enter key.
