[Bug 1174678] Re: Full screen zoom fails in Mousepad and Leafpad text editors

2015-05-27 Thread Veiokej
Still happens in 14.04, although in my current instance, it only happens with Chromium and not the two editors mentioned above (screen resolution dependent?). Once you zoom Chromium, you can never use the lower-right- corner-arrow thingy to resize it (while unzoomed) again. AFAIK, I need to

[Bug 1301839] Re: AMD Radeon HD 8670A/8670M/8690M[1002:6660] Low-graphic mode with Trusty

2014-05-22 Thread Veiokej
This bug seems to be half fixed. After a fresh 14.04 install, I do sudo apt-get update followed by sudo apt-get upgrade. Then, the desktop is usable. However, it appears to have low color density because the default purple background shades are all stair-stepped and dithered. I'm positive it's not

[Bug 1322413] [NEW] Radeon HD 8670M sets wrong color depth

2014-05-22 Thread Veiokej
Public bug reported: First of all, I disabled my computer by attempting to fix this, so unfortunately the hardware summary attached to this report is from an unrelated machine. The problem is that when Ubuntu 14.04 boots, it sets a low color depth. This is visible because the default purple

[Bug 1322418] [NEW] System Settings menu disabled by removing Bluetooth Transfer

2014-05-22 Thread Veiokej
Public bug reported: If I go into the Ubuntu Software Center, then click on the Installed tab, then remove Bluetooth Transfer under Accessories, a window comes up saying that I must also remove User level public file sharing... and System bluetooth indicator. I click Remove All. After the

[Bug 1321090] [NEW] GLib-CRITICAL g_slice_set_config: assertion

2014-05-19 Thread Veiokej
Public bug reported: I don't know where else to go with this. I've gotten them a few times now in terminal. The process number associated with this error message points back to this Firefox session, which was launched because I used ubuntu-bug -w to try to report another bug. So I changed my

[Bug 1321091] [NEW] readdir function returns inconsistent d_type

2014-05-19 Thread Veiokej
Public bug reported: Due to lack of time, I can't investigate this, but I repeatedly observed it. Basically, when you call readdir, it returns a struct dirent. The d_type field is supposed to be DT_LNK for symbolic links when _DIRENT_HAVE_D_TYPE is known to the compiler (which it is). This is

[Bug 1320648] [NEW] Randomly ignored keystrokes in terminal

2014-05-18 Thread Veiokej
Public bug reported: I was just trying to install 64-bit 14.04 LTS. Due to a video bug in the default installation image, I had to boot to a terminal instead of the usual Unity GUI. The video bug is actually fixed already, but I needed to download it. So I just did sudo apt-get update followed by

[Bug 1320651] [NEW] Checkbox for downloading updates while installing fails

2014-05-18 Thread Veiokej
Public bug reported: This might be miscategorized because ubuntu-bug doesn't seem to allow me to report bugs against the installer, as opposed to Startup Disk Creator. Anyway the problem is that the checkbox download updates while installing (or close to that) seems to have opposite polarity. If

[Bug 1174678] [NEW] Full screen zoom fails in Mousepad and Leafpad text editors

2013-04-30 Thread Veiokej
Public bug reported: I'm not sure if this is a Unity issue or an editor issue, but the same problem on 2 different editors would suggest the former. Open either of these editors. Double-click on the title bar to zoom. (Once you do this, you may never again be able to shrink the window again,
