Same problem in Hardy with KDE 3.5.9. I have default associations for
.avi files set to Kaffeine first, xine second. I set associations to
xine first, then Kaffeine. When I close and reopen the setting dialog
again, assocoations are back to Kaffeine, xine. Annoying.

After upgrade from kubuntu 6.06 to kubuntu 6.10, my laptop (hp nx8220)
