I know its not a smart thing to do, but during the upgrade from 9.10 to 10.04 if you disconnect your keyboard your upgrade will be toast. Even if you reconnect the keyboard its not detected and you cannot input anything. So if the upgrade stops for user input thats the end of the upgrade. Dont know whether this would be a bug or if something can be put in place during future upgrade to handle it. The only option I had was to reset the computer and break the upgrade. Ideally I would have liked the keyboard to have reactivated when it was plugged back in.
