guvcview seems to replace the plasmashell display with the appearance it

I managed to activate NVIDIA driver instead of nouveau by adding
"blacklist=nouveau rdblacklist=nouveau" to my kernel parameters.
But KDE Driver Manager still claims that nouveau is in use, when it is

This bug APPEARS to have been fixed in the latest Ubuntu trusty kernel

So instead of the error:

I've updated to kernel 3.19.8-031908-generic (amd64) and I no longer get
ERROR* gpu hanging too fast, banning or [drm] GPU HANG...

x-session manager eats 100% CPU, nautilus won't

I've got the same issue with x-session-manager eating 70% of the CPU resource.
It occurs after a few hours, and it seems to happen only when Amarok 2 is
opened.
I'd like to try the solution mentionned that consists in modifying the open
file limit, but unfortunately I don't know how to do
