I had the same problem, occured yesterday after i standby and lasted till 10 minutes ago. It is gone after i closed my Thinkpad T61 -> standby. When i tried to resume it, there was just a black screen with a cursor blinking left at the top. So i made a cold poweroff -> no problem with the kworker anymore. Even after restarting or standby there is no problem. I hope it will stay good.
