I have two configured wifi connections.
For each I went to the config files and they both had the
"permissions=user:username:;"
I removed "user:username:;" to restore "permissions="
Login out, I still had the insufficient privilege problem. But restarting
solved the problem!!! Thank you modolo!
I can confirm this behavior on a fresh install of 16.04 on the Dell XPS 13
developer edition.
I get the same error message when trying to setup a wireless connection in
lightdm. I don't whether this connected or not but the hotkeys (volume up/down,
screen brightness) also don't work in lightdm.
I experience a similar behavior. I've setup Deja Dup to backup daily on an
external drive (no data encryption). The scheduled backup often fails. When I
check the preferences I can see that the destination folder has been reset to
Amazon S3. Other preferences are saved (encryption, schedule).
I'im also using Jaunty beta and I can confirm this bug.
The first time I used the plasma connection manager it called kwallet to store
the WPA key. At startup the plasma connection manager calls kwallet to get the
key and connects properly.
However If kwallet is disabled the connection manager
I can confirm the same behaviour on my Sony VGN-FE670G which also uses the
intel 945GM chipset.
I upgraded to kubuntu Jaunty from 8.10 kde4.2 and have now poor graphic
performance.
Booting from the live Kubuntu 9.04 CD gives same results.
Performance are normal with the live GNOME ubuntu 9.04
