When in the Kubuntu Vivid 15.04 beta 2 live session, the system logged
me out or locked the screen due to inactivity.
I could not unlock the screen / log back in, and the password did not
work or seemed not to work. In any case, the unlock button did not do
anything.

gianfilippo, that worked on my very old Ubuntu 8.04 box. But does not
work for me now. I'm migrating back to my older slower computer so I
can function with a mic again.

Same symptoms when I boot off a LinuxMint x64 or x32 CD
When I boot to Vista..er it works.
Looking pretty hopeless now for an easy fix, so I'm about so switch back
to an older notebook computer where mic worked.
Any suggestions?

(with default of 2 workspaces) to stick in a certain position between

FTP transfers are always fast, Samba <300 kb, but with 2 files
transferring, it’s fast again.
