I have also aspire 5520. If I press / choose shutdown, and after press Ctrl+F7,
usually the last message on screen is
"halt: Unable to iterate IDE devices: No such files or directory". That means
that problem is bug 298402 ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298402 ).

Hi there, i have tried both predefining as Alsa, and auto, neither work.
though when alsa, the app starts, but fails to produce audio output.

Upon restarting Ubuntu Hardy, 8.04, if I launch RB 0.11.5 and ask it to play a
