I had again the issue on a other Xubuntu 22.04.4 computer (a desktop).
Here is how I fixed it:
From Gnome-software and from command line (sudo apt update && upgrade), the
same components were again not updated. So I typed this command line:
$ sudo apt upgrade python3-update-manager

For my first time I upgraded the kernel 'manually': v4.15-rc8 from

Sorry I have not tested the new kernel because I fixed the issue on 5th feb
2018 this way: "How I have get out the issue : by restoring the previous Linux
Kernel (from the GRUB menu)."
Then the Ubuntu auto-update system did some upgrades, and all is working fine
since then:

Stealthnet can not be packaged into Ubuntu because it is a Windows
application. However, because it is Mono compatible, it can run (with
GUI) by using Wine:
