I did several "sudo apt remove blabla " step by step
for several programs that I had added from software deposits outside Ubuntu's
and then at some point I was able to do the full upgrade to Ubuntu 20.04.1.
I will decide carefully what I reinstall

Several attemps
I cleaned up all the other repositories ppa launch ...
but yet it stop the upgrade process restaures 18.04
I ppa-purge all that I can also
=> the release upgrade from 18.04 LTS to 20.04.1
