I want set mysql to use utf8 as the default code, but when i set it as below:
root@zhh:/etc/mysql# vi my.cnf
[client]
default-character-set=utf8
[mysqld]
default-character-set=utf8
mysql will never start:

I encountered this select problem in some pdfs in Chinese code. when i
select some chinese word by mouse, these words change to other. but some
Chinese pdf files are ok.
my env is ubuntu9.10 ,document viewer 2.
