2009-08-25 Thread aeosynth
Er, it turns out that I just needed to install the unzip package. Could I change this bug to a 'needs better error messages' feature request? Evince should have told me to go install the unzip package. Alternatively, it should have been able to use the unzip mechanism provided by p7zip-full. Shoul

[Bug 367125] [NEW] [Request] Display all info on one line

Public bug reported: Binary package hint: music-applet It seems silly seeing only one piece of information at a time when I have the space to display it all, so I'd like the option to do so. The Firefox extension FoxyTunes behaves like this, and scrolls right and left when there actually isn't en

[Bug 311905] Re: Launchers

2008-12-31 Thread aeosynth
I agree that creating alltray-ified launchers should be easy, but what I'm requesting is that those launchers be placed straight-away to the notification area, and be reused by the launched program. Look at Avant Window Navigator (AWN) to see how this works or if it's confusing. Look at http://bra

2008-12-30 Thread aeosynth
Creating regular launchers right now is pretty trivial, I can just go into the gnome main menu, right click on an icon and select 'Add this launcher to panel/desktop'; I'm not sure how making this even easier pertains to my request. My idea is that AllTray should grab those panel launchers and put

[Bug 124326] Re: Shrinking to applet/notification area should have its own title bar button

2008-12-26 Thread aeosynth
You know, I originally thought of this as a gnome-panel applet, but it might work better as a metacity feature, since I'm envisioning 'minimize to tray' as a title bar context item. My 'global defaults' (dock or not) could be hidden away in gconf instead of an applet context menu. Basically, just r

We are all thinking the same thing - I wrote something over at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1022061 that is working towards a consistent 'minimize to tray' functionality. We can bypass the issue of adding a fourth button by using context menus instead. I think the best way to get starte
