I checked in Alsamixer / pressed f6 / selected my sound card and found the volume to be set at a reduced level. I increased the volume and noted that original performance was restored. This isnt exposed in the graphical volume controls for some reason... -- You received this bug notification

To update this; the issue only happens when the laptop is in the Lenovo Series 3 dock; I have also found a work around which doesnt involve crashing X. If I undock and redock the laptop both screens wake up correctly. The issue doesnt seem to be hapenning whe the laptop isnt docked. -- You
