fscrypt is not yet ready. As of now, ubuntu 18.04 "LTS" does not offer
encryption support for directories. Several use cases cannot be
satisfied with full-partition encryption.

Hi again!
I've been playing with the kernel options: it turns out that adding nolapic
does the difference: full boot in 30 sec.
I've made it permanent adding nolapic to the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT
variable in /etc/default/grub and running update-grub.
still, I've the impression this is a
restricted to nolapic_timer (all the rest of the apic is ok): it seems
a kernel issue

Although when i run /et/init.d/networking restart manually or ifdown -a
ifup -a after init ntpdate is always called
