the guide is correct for old schroot versions, but not with the latest. your configuration is misread, and thus silently discarded. In new versions, keys should not be indented. By replacing directory=... with directory=... (and the same for all the other keys), schroot should work correctly

Hi again! I've been playing with the kernel options: it turns out that adding nolapic does the difference: full boot in 30 sec. I've made it permanent adding nolapic to the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT variable in /etc/default/grub and running update-grub. still, I've the impression this is a
