the issues with the wrong nvidia driver being install (361), always got
a blank screen on login.
Had to manually install my driver from this page to fix the issue

After i installed ubuntu 9.04, when i login, the system hangs and it doesnt
works, even keyboard keys.
I can login only on fail-safe gnome mode.
In failsafe gnome mode, some features are disabled.
So i need a solution for this.

I updated the system regularly (as I always do).
mysql stopped working for me.
I reinstalled the mysql package after going through forums without much
progress.
I was able to retain my data.
however user privileges et al had to be done again
