I have the same problem with a Huawei E1550 modem. It worked fine under
10.04, since the update to 10.10 the device gets reset every time I try
to connect to my ISP. I can't really add any new debugging information,
except for a different error code of the option_instat_callback

problem I mentioned above. Since I switched from KDE 4.3 to Xfce a few
days ago, my system doesn't show any of the sluggish behaviour any more.
Seems my laptop isn't coping so well with those new and shiny desktop

Just downloaded and tested the new Catalyst 8.11 driver from the AMD
website. Building and installing the deb packages for Intrepid worked

doesn't shutdown properly anymore. If I try to turn it off, it freezes

18:40:44 UTC 2008", which seems to solve the issue. My ext3 partition is
accessible again.

unusable. The partition gets mounted on boot up, but every access fails
with a bunch of Buffer I/O
Same bug here. Hope this gets high priority and a fix as soon as
possible, as bugs like this are total showstoppers for desktop centric
distributions like Kubuntu.

I installed the fixed driver, but it doesn't resolve the issue. The
Laptop still freezes if I either boot without an attached USB mouse or
