When will the new stable nvidia drivers (173 96 series) be available
in intrepid. I have checked the repository and have not found any of
the new files needed to load the drivers.

The 173.14.15 driver is being built by nvidia with no SSE support. That is why
I am in such a rush to get it.

Added floppy to /etc/modules and the floppy is added to the /dev
directory. I insert a floppy before starting up the computer and it
auto mounts the floppy. If I add the floppy after bootup I have to sudo
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy0.

I am confirming that adding the module floppy to /etc/modules works for

Still unable to mount /dev/fd0. The floppy module is not loaded and you
need to run sudo modprobe floppy to get it to run. Is this going to be
fixed soon since I hate having to type sudo modprobe floppy each and
everytime I start Ubuntu 8.10.

Tried running the GeForce FX5200 with nvidia-173 driver and system would
not boot into anything, but low graphic mode. Looked threw the logs and
found that the error occured due to my old AMD K6-III 450 not being able
to run the SSE instruction set. I hope once the 96.xx.xx
There should be a info page somewhere with information on all drivers
available and what they require to run. I can't even find something
like this on the nvidia site.

When I burn a CD using gnomebaker the CD seems to never finish fixating.
A time comes up after nearly 20 minutes in the status box saying
fixating done, but the CD is never ejected. The write light keeps
flashing and the only way I can get the disk out is by hitting the
Forgot to mention I am running a BCE 24x IDE Drive. Burning at slow
speeds or fast speeds still create this error.
