Given an Edgy installation
it is impossible to install valgrind-callgrind since it complains about a
dependency problem
valgrind ( 1:3.1) while the valgrind in the repository is actually higher in
version: 1:3.2.0-2ubuntu3

I agree on the mozilla warning at startup, which is annoying, but it can
be fixed by a simple apt-get install mozilla.
but i also noticed in your logfiles that eclipse makes use of the gcj,
i've had some issues with eclipse (mainly with the CDT) which I solved
by forcing eclipse to use 'that

Given an Edgy (to my knowledge this also failed to work in dapper, but
in a pervious debian unstable burning cd's worked perfectly) with
cdrecord installed:
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold

Indeed, callgrind is now embedded in the valgrind package. Thanks for
the remark, but valgrind-callgrind should still be removed from the
repositories since it can be quite confusing ;)

I just want to give this bug a kick since I also ran into this issue and
using the source package solved this but it isn't very friendly towards
new users.
