I confirm this too. The API documentation seems to be missing from the
api subfolder file:///usr/share/doc/python-dbus-doc/api/
To be precise, the index.html actually exists and contains one entry for
dbus._version. However, this is not documentation but more like a
placeholder.

commonly used in shell scripts. Also, there is package kdbus which is in
