#103 solution works well for me. I tried all the other workarounds but
only #103 solved the problem. Thanks quirks!

I'm having the same problem, but I installed Eclipse by downloading the
zip package from the site, then perhaps the problem does not depend
directly from the ubuntu package.

I reinstalled firefox and all dependancies from official jaunty repository,
same problem.
