Well, it appears that the issue has resolved itself... I tried again
today and the new window renders correctly. I'm not sure what to do

04/6/2012. The installer crashed when the progress bar was almost
complete. This was an installer that was along side Windows Xp
professional.

I'm using cloud-init on CentOS, but would really like this functionality
as well. For the time being, I'll be trying to reuse the upstream AWS
pieces.
