So I switched to Linux Kernel 5 since RC-5 and I was switching to the
latest version ever since a new one is released. It seems that the 5
branch has fixed the issue for good. I am on 5.0.1 and have no issue
with output. *fingers crossed*

"fixed" the problem but it seems to be fixed somehow randomly. When I
restart the laptop and enter my paassword, Linux Mint tries to play an
intro chime but it gets cut off at the middle or at the end. I have to

file, at some point, always different, the video freezes, the mouse
