Since this is what came up when I typed my symptoms...my notes are still
on the pc. I can read the pertinent content in a text editor. They
simply do not show up in Tomboy. They are where they're supposed to be
(~/.local/share/tomboy) . i can't open them with tomboy. I need help.

Thanks for the heads up. Since the status is won't fix I gather you wont
be needing to see the output of lspci, dmesg, etc. I'll include it

I just installed VMware workstation and it happened again. I was running
Ubuntu's driver 195 this time. Since I only had 190 downloaded I shut
down X, then reinstalled 190. working fine now, but had there been
anyone else with this problem? Something freaky is happening here. I

I changed my theme after switching back to compiz today, it didn't
update correctly, but it was the reverse. Gnome desktop was showing the
comix pointer theme, and firefox was showing the DMZ white. Just because
I switched back to compiz I decided to change to the default theme so
that I didn't get
Well, changing the .theme file with gedit gets results when you log out,
and on the logon screen. That's probably what it's supposed to do. Using
the appearance preferences does indeed update the cursor, but the
changes don't carry over to the desktop. Weird. Upon changing the

they worked to change the default, but it will not update the desktop
mouse presentation unless you log out/back in. I'm rebooting and will

I had the same problem using 9.10. I found that these suggestions help,
but I have seen that anyone has noted that the skinned version of the
app (selectable in the preferences) doesn't have this problem. I noticed
that if I choose the skinned over the default player setting my video
works fine.
