Same for me. Nothing did work. Always when i plug my headset in, it gets
detected, but then immediately switches back to the speakers.

Edit /etc/systemd/logind.conf and set HandleLidSwitch=lock to lock the screen
on lid close (but not suspend), or Handle
Updated the system this morning. After reboot the pulseaudio process
takes 100% of one cpu core.
