In Xubuntu 8.04, when I move my mouse onto the little artwork thumbnail
at the top of the window a large version of the artwork pops up. If I
then use my mouse's scroll wheel while my mouse is over the larger pop
up thumbnail it makes my computer
After further investigation...
An up scroll motion makes the thumbnail pop up disappear with no
negative effects.
A down scroll makes me switch desktops.

I dont know if I made it clear... but when you get that select app
question if you select thunar as the app and then select always use this
then all downloads open in their native apps, so downloading a zip opens
in fileroller, a video in totem and so on. Rather than having to tell it
over and over
I had this exact same problem. I downloaded a zip file and without
thinking set the application to fileroller, and then after that every
download opened up fileroller and gave me an error message. How was I
supposed to know I had to pick Thunar?
