Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
Installation failure when I'm using USB or cdrom (in the case of the
attached log files, it was a CD attempt). I have verified that the ISO,
and the CD, are not corrupt: the ISO passes the md5 checksum, and the CD
passes its internal self-check.

Is this bug a duplicate? I find it hard to believe that something
preventing people from installing Ubuntu altogether isn't of higher
priority.

Ubuntu 11.04 installer crashes during Grub updation/installation stage

For me installation failure happens whether I'm using USB or cdrom.
There are packages that (apparently) need to be removed toward the end
of installation -- this is where the installer is crashing.

When I switched from a PS/2 mouse to a USB one, my troubles decreased
dramatically. At times, the pointer is still a little shaky (i.e. the
mouse is physically stable, but its screen representation is unstable),
but this shaky'ness is contained within a few pixels, rather than the

I am no longer experiencing this problem. I did a BIOS upgrade, which
really helped, and disabled power management.

ps2 mouse erratic - parity errors
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: stunnel4
I'm having trouble connecting to my stunnel server. Both the client and
server are running Ubuntu stunnel4. The connection log (from the server)
is as follows:
sshd accepted FD=8 from [censored]:35982
sshd started

I'm having the same problem; however, my system becomes unresponsive
irrespective of what I'm running. If I leave it idle for more than a
day, even if there are no users logged in, the system is unresponsive
once I return.
I'm pretty sure this is a 2.6 kernel issue, as I had this problem when
