When file sized >4Gb (e.g. DVD9 ISO image) is copied on VFAT
filesystems, it can't fit on it due to limitations of the fs. I suggest
check before copying such files and give dialog with options to split or
to refuse copying.

My Wallch AppIndicator icon is huge. It seems applet does not resize it.
The original file
(/usr/share/wallch/files/indicator_radiance_normal.png) has the 64x64
resolution whilst the AppIndicator only 24x24. I was able to temporarily
fix the problem by resizing icon in Gimp.

I compared the contents of the reconfigured 3.5.0-25 initrd with the
still-working 3.5.0-17 initrd with 'diff -ru'. My new, broken, config
had added mdadm and lost lvm2 in comparison with the older, working one.
I installed lvm2 and removed mdadm. After a bunch of new dpkg-
reconfigures, all my
3.5.0-25 was still working for me, not showing this issue.
However, after running:
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-3.5.0-25-generic linux-image-
extra-3.5.0-25-generic
now 3.5.0-25 also shows this issue.
Hence, it seems likely that this is some initrd-building problem with
something new on t

kernel as recommended. The issue still exists.
The summary line was misleading. The kernel will actually find the
harddrive find but /dev/mapper/lubuntu-root does not exist, even though
/dev/sda* does.

Hey guys. I installed Ubuntu 11.04 today in vmware workstation 7.1.3
build-324285, with Windows 7 as host. My mouse is not working properly
in it. It won't point at where it should be pointing. I installed vmware
tools and that also didn't help. Googling did result in somethin
not true !

I have this exact same problem -- the volume bars move erratically when
I try to move any of them up or down. I've actually had this problem for
over a year.
1) Double click the volume icon in the top panel.
2) Try to move any of the vertical sliders.
3) Watch the sliders bounce from absolute-max
I am running Hardy Heron and have a CMEDIA ASUS onboard sound...
Have had this exact same problem and it's very discouraging. I have
absolutely no way of changing my volume because the sliders and buttons
make the volume bar move so erratically.
