nvidia-settings freeze on activating TwinView

When I try to activate my secondary display the nvidia-settings software will
freeze when i choose the option TwinView.
After killing the program I cant start it in this session again, so I have to
logout und relogin then.
My system:
Notebook: Dell Latitude E6500
In the meantime we migratet to Ubuntu 10.04, so it is fixed for us.

When the Applications gets tested the xvfb freeze after a few seconds.
