I can confirm this issue on my amd64 box with Feisty installed with all updates. The internal eject functionality doesn't work for my NEC AD-7170S DVD-RW drive (SATA). The indicated workaround works like a charm, but I agree with Timothy Smith that mythtv should use /usr/bin/eject by default. --
