You can log in, however de UID/GID settings are not correct.
yptest and ypcat give the right results. But groups just returns the local
group's and not the extra NIS-enabled groups.

Compiz 0.8 but there's ample evidence in this thread that the bug still
exists in Compiz 0.9. Valid bug reports shouldn't be closed because

Tried excluding all windows from window decoration but it didn't fix the
problem. Only disabling the decor plugin or killing the running
decorator, be it gtk-window-decorator or emerald, 'fixed' the problem.

Ok I think I understand the problem. It seems to be to do with Window
decoration. In Emerald you have the ability to adjust the height of the
titlebar. I noticed that the taller you made titlebar, the higher the

I can confirm this bug. I installed feisty with the i386 desktop cd and
couldn't boot afterwards. Setting the root partition with the boot flag
fixed it. I attached lspci just in case it might be useful. This problem
also exists with the lastest BIOS version for the Intel DG965WH.

I can confirm this issue on my amd64 box with Feisty installed with all updates.
The internal eject functionality doesn't work for my NEC AD-7170S DVD-RW drive
(SATA).
The indicated workaround works like a charm, but I agree with Timothy Smith
that mythtv should use /usr/bin/eject by default.

I fixed to problem by removing the nvidia driver and enabling it again
with the restricted-manager. I was missing some important options in
xorg.conf. I guess I was missing these because i upgrade this install
from dapper->edgy->feisty.
