I am using a bento/ubuntu18.04 box on vagrant/kitchen-ci with the
kitchen-ansible provisioner and can reproduce this bug.

On this laptop there is a LED on the panel next to the power and HD
led's normally used to display the status of the SONY memory sticks. On
installing as soon as this LED is lit the install fails. CD stops
spinning, all HD activity stops.
It look's like a kernel crash but I am unable to see any di
I can confirm this.
With a standard (md5 checked) 10.04 CD install seems to crash as soon as
the memory stick lights up.
This is also an issue when upgrading from a previous version of ubuntu.

1.5.3 is a really old version of IRM, unfortunately I do not know how to
package for debian/ubuntu.
If anyone would like to volunteer to either package the latest release
or get me started on how to do this we can fix this bug.
