You can also try with Opencryptoki instead of SoftHSM. Opencryptoki provides a

With Ubuntu 22.04 being based on s390-tools v2.20, the following patches need
to be applied for jammy on top of s390-tools v2.20 for the stabilization of
data collection with dbginfo.sh.
