The installation instructions for Ubuntu to a sandisk on a UEFI system
simply don't exist in any meaningful way and it simply doesn't work.
It's pretty normal to want alternate OSs on a separate sandisk to boot
up and this would work fine if Ubuntu actually supported this
I have the same network manager issue (I think it's network manager, it
could be a problem with wpa_supplicant, or the keyrings or something
else).
I'm on Karmic, and my wireless driver is iwl3945 (Dell Latitude D820
intel wireless).
I install network manager and it connects for a few reboots.
