all input (mouse, keyboard) froze as I was installing libwxbase2.80 as
dependency to filezilla from the ubuntu software center)
I completely removed both packages through synaptic and tried to
reinstall. Synaptic complained filezilla depends on libwxbase2 but it

I have the same problem... 2 weeks into a fresh install of 7.10. Just 30
minutes ago it started to freeze and had to shutdown using the power
button. I'm running ubuntu on a HP Compaq nx7300.
The first 2 times I had managed to start up a rhythmbox instance, but
the 3rd time i only got a browser up
