I have just experienced this issue with Ubuntu 14.04. Login time was
ridiculously long (about 2 minutes). After trying everything else I
thought about emptying the trash... and that fixed the problem (login is
now about 15-20 seconds).

That's right, my comment was too enthusiastic. However, while we wait
for the real solution, I think that Sebastien's suggestion could be
included in bug description. It may help many (desperate) users who just
need a system working decently and who are switching to different

Have you already tried the version of Brasero in backports repository?
To activate backports do the following:
- open Synaptic Packet Manager in System-Administration
- Click on Settings, then on Repositories
- Choose Updates tab and then check unsupported updates

I use Intrepid Ibex.
How to reproduce the bug:
- right click on a file and choose Sign
- select your own key and then click on Ok. You get a *sig file.
- Double click on the sig file
Now you can see the popup as in the screenshot i've attached.

I'm using Intrepid Ibex and Evince 2.24.1.
I tried to print your pdf and got this:
Evince's JOB = 25429k !!! I took ages for the printing icon to appear.
Using epdfview or okular I got a normal job: 6961k.
This problem appears with many pdf files on my system and causes

Driver version 177 makes compiz effects perform SO MUCH BETTER.. all the
problems I've had since Hardy with my Nvidia Card and Desktop Effects
disappear... but Openoffice becomes unusable :(

itself).
I got some improvement customising the human theme: I set controls to
human-clearlooks instead of human.

I was just trying to use f-spot when I noticed this bug. It does not make any
difference if I import the whole Photos directory or a single picture.. I still
see no version names. To be more precise, I can see version information only in

If the wifi card is connected to a Wireless Network and I try to Shutdown the
laptop then some troubles happen.
The Shutdown splash hangs while it is at half-completion, then I a got a
white screen for about 20

A stopword has sense when you don't consider it in a sentence with more
specific words.
eg. If I type the champions league final, the is not important, it's
useless for the search.
But if I type Just all I want is to find a file that has something to do with

If I type just nothing is found, even if I have files called *just*.

Yesterday I had to remove openoffice.org-l10n, openoffice.org-help,
language-support-translations, language-support,
in order to install proposed updates.
Now if I want to install language support again it asks me to remove openoffice.
