The notebook is a Gateway m675. Since I have upgraded to jaunty I
haven't been able to use hibernate. I am now using Alpha 5 with the
same problem. It didn't worn me of a problem before the computer shut
off. After booting up and logging in to gnome, I see the crash

He didn't say he was using a package from Debian's repository. He said Debian
package which is what .deb files are for Ubuntu, Debian, etc.
The workaround I posted should be fine. It has worked for me on 9 of my
computers all running hardy: 3
Here is a workaround for all you hardy / firefox-3.0b4 users. This will also
work with other versions of firefox. Just change the destination directory.
The problem is that firefox is using /usr/lib/firefox-3.0b4 while gnash is

The mirrors aren't immediately updated. If you are using Synaptic, click
Settings, Repositories. Then set Download from: to Main server.
click close, then Reload. The updates should now be available. I updated
mine and now have no problem.
