I upgradet to 12.10 and the problem repeated!!!
After EVERY NEW UPGRADE for the last few years, I am having this
problem!!!
WHY IT'S SO COMPLICATED TO SOLVED A RIDICULOUS PROBLEM of keyboard
layout icon?
I am heavy on Writer, so CANNOT WORK without keyboard indicator. What
should I do? Go back

Sound is lost after some time under Ubuntu 10.100 (fully updated) on
DELL Inspiron laptop. No explanation how it happens. Rebooting always
helps. Sometime it happens after hours and hours of playback, but
sometimes there is no sound from the boot.

I had many problems with Rhythmbox. I use fully updated Ubuntu 9.10 on
Dell Inspiron laptop (64 bit, ext4).
Rhythmbox opens normally, but when I press PLAY button, it crashes
without any notice. The problem occurs regardless of cold/soft
Yes, 9.04 was more stabile for me than 9.10, who crashed often. It was
upgraded to 9.10 from 9.04 online (via Update Manager). I thought many
times to go back to 9.04, but I made an experiment: I formated the disk
with EXT4 and made a clean install of 9.10. Now it works terrific. No
crashed for
Evolution crashed when I tried to add a memo to Birthdays
Anniversaries. I use Ubuntu 9.10 on DELL Inspiron laptop. Fully updated.
