I would suggest Dorid Sans in 9px, 8 is too small and 10 is too wide.

If the developers just deletes the checkbox items and replaces it with a
menu option 'Play' than changes to 'Pause' when clicked. It could be a
fast patch... and even more intuitive than a checkbox.

On LiveCD Touchpad click is disabled by default.
It really means a huge usability issue, since almost all of users having a
laptop are used to tap the touchpad.
It only needs to come enabled by default, because it works.

Affects me too. When I select Installed Software show those and also,
available software, wich makes this part of the application unusable.

i really think it should go in the places menu,
why sould i need to go to the desktop to unmount a drive. In Windows
there's a icon in the systray
why not go for something really original, instead of only change a word.
Icons are A LOT more intuitive than words.

so, this way, if you like it, you can enable this.
