I found out what the problem was. I'm using Xmonad as my window manager, and it
tiles the subscribe window. If I add to my manage hooks
(stringProperty WM_ICON_NAME =? Subscribe) -- doFloat
then the problem disappears.
Now I have two questions:
0. Can this crash be prevented, even if the
Indeed, sometimes pulseaudio do not start at login (although it is set
up as one of the startup applications). If I run pulseaudio I can open
the sound preferences, but I cannot change the volume since the only
visible output is Dummy output.

I don't think that matters because I cannot even open the add dialog. I tried
opening it after cleaning the clipboard and I get the same result. In any case
the URL is:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/marcaderadio
I can upload all the banshee related files if you want.

I'm having the same problem. The failures seem to be random. Sometimes
the volume control works without problems, and sometimes it just does

For me it also does not work, when I boot up with both screens turned
on. Try booting it up with the ThinkPad's display closed, then it should

Same here. I have a ThinkPad X201 and a Dell 24 display connected via
DisplayPort to the X200 UltraBase. I can log into Unity without a
problem but when trying to change the resolution, I get a blank screen.
But I can solve the problem by running this in terminal:
xrandr --output HDMI1 --mode
